FAQs…because there’s no such thing as a ‘silly’ question.

Have you ever had a coworker tell you, “there’s no such thing as a ‘silly’ question?” I have. I’ve even been that coworker. Sigh. But, it’s true! You have to ask questions and receive answers in order to learn. Here are some common questions and answers to get you started on your journey to the cloud.

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) lets you place & receive phone calls over an internet connection. An IP (Internet Protocol) address is how computers & devices communicate with each other on the internet. Believe it or not, VoIP has been a proven & reliable technology used since the 90s. If you have an internet connection, you call anyone without the need for local phone service.

Today, more than 30% of businesses have adapted to using VoIP.

What do you mean by mobility?

Sonictel provides both a mobile app & computer software. This enables you to stay connected to your business phone service anywhere, at any time. The mobile apps work on both iPhones & Androids. The computer software is built for both PCs & Macs.

You no longer need to use your personal cell phone number to make calls outside the office. How cool is that?

What does scalability mean?

Scalability is the ability of a system to handle an increasing amount of workload without affecting its overall performance or efficiency. This is one of the most beneficial features for businesses of all sizes.

  1. You will not need to buy new expensive hardware & equipment to grow.

  2. If resources become squeezed, you can quickly scale back.

  3. You are not constrained by a phone system that only supports a fixed number of employees & can be costly & complicated to expand.

And there you have it. Some answers so you don’t have to ask those ‘silly’ questions.
